Having graduated in 1991 Phil has many years of both private practice and surgical inpatient experience, providing injury management to adults and children alike. Phil’s areas of special interest include shoulder injuries, the management of headaches/migraines, and with 4 active sons, a particular interest in injuries in the sporting adolescent.

Please Note – Phil’s hours have been temporarily adjusted to assist him in easing back into work post-surgery

John Humphrey

John graduated in 1997 and has worked in both private practice and orthopaedic outpatient clinics here and in the UK. His special interests include diagnosis and treatment of neck, head and jaw pain and vestibular disorders. John is also well-versed in the McKenzie Approach to diagnosing and treat the neck and spine.

John enjoys playing basketball in the Bluff Road Physio team, and also has special interest in treating basketball and rowing athletes.

Will Brownlee

Senior Physiotherapist

B. Physio

Will has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Monash University, and has been employed in both the private and public sectors. He has experience treating a wide range of conditions from chronic pain, through to post surgical patients and acute sports injuries. He is a member of the local community and is actively involved with the Hampton Rovers Football Club.

Will is skilled in treating vertigo (dizziness) conditions, and has a particular interest in the assessment and rehabilitation of spinal physiotherapy, from neck pain and headaches through to low back pain. He is also trained in the instruction of Clinical Pilates and the use of DorsaVi movement analyses equipment, both of which are useful adjuncts to the treatment of back pain.

Mandy has over 25 years of clinical experience with a post graduate qualification in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy which gives her advanced skills in treatment of neck, back and head pain. Mandy has also worked extensively in Sports Medicine and as a clinical tutor at the University of Melbourne School of Physiotherapy.

Emma Searle

Senior Physiotherapist

Emma graduated from The University of Newcastle in 2009. She has a diverse skill set gained from working across private practice and hospital settings with a special interest in treating hip and knee osteoarthritis, orthopedic rehabilitation and low back pain.
Following her interest in research methods, she completed a Master of Science in Comparative Effectiveness Research at University Paris Descartes in 2019 and then worked for The University of Oxford investigating the effectiveness of interventions used to treat early osteoarthritis of the hip and knee.
Emma is now enjoying a balance of clinical and research work as she undertakes her PhD with The Melbourne and Manchester Graduate Research Group. Her project focuses on the use of digital technology to assist people with knee osteoarthritis.

Victoria Baker

Physiotherapist

Victoria graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2019, having attained both a Bachelor of Science, with Honours, and a Doctor of Physiotherapy. Her studies provided extensive experience across multiple settings, including the acute and subacute hospital system, oncology, chronic disease management, neurological rehabilitation and paediatrics.
Along the way, Victoria worked with sporting teams and families requiring paediatric therapy, adding to her knowledge and skill-base. She holds a strong understanding about the importance of health promotion and the value of staying active in ones everyday life, and she strives to empower her patients to adopt a similar mantra.
Being a keen runner and skier, her areas of interest include rehabilitating running and hip injuries, teaching clinical pilates, and addressing posture, fitness and exercise.

Simeon Burrill

Physiotherapist

B.Phty (Hons)

Simeon graduated from the University of Queensland in 2021 receiving a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours. His studies involved practical application of skills in areas including private practice, orthopaedic rehabilitation and acute hospital care.

Simeon has a keen interest in running, cycling and endurance sports, stemming from his own sporting achievements in orienteering and trail running where he has performed at both the national and international levels. He understands the widespread impact and pain can have on athletic performance and everyday life.

The mantra “no one understands their body better than the client” is a big part of Simeon’s approach to therapy and he enjoys discovering what motivates clients to reach their goals.
