Muscle aches and pains can involve more than one muscle and can also involve:

  • Ligaments
  • Tendons
  • The joints they cross

The most common causes are:

  • Injury or trauma including strains
  • Overuse: using a muscle too much, too soon, too often
  • Tension or stress

Not all muscle aches are related to stress, tension, and physical activity. Some other explanations include fibromyalgia, flu, lupus, medications or drug use.

Our physiotherapists can assess your muscular pain and develop a treatment plan which may include:

  • Exercise programs such as Clinical Pilates
